A rare & outstanding Regency double pedestal extension dining table By Baker Furniture, "Stately Homes Collection" USA, 1980s Book-matched mahogany, with broad satinwood crossbanded & ebonized borders & a rounded rectangular top. Carved solid mahogany reeded legs with solid brass toes & casters. Measures: 77.25"W x 48"D x 29"H. Extends up to 115.25"W with two 19" leaves. Knee clearance 25.75". Expertly refinished. Excellent condition. This table is part of the prestigious Stately Homes Collection by Baker. This 1982 reproduction is modeled after the original that sits in the Knebworth House built in 1492. The original table was constructed in 1815 & sits in the main formal dining room. Provenance: The Honourable David Lytton-Cobbold, Knebworth House. English c. 1815.
