This is a vintage (exact age unknown) tabletop, religious, Florentine, gold-gilt wood triptych. It is unmarked but attributed to be an Italy product. It is a 3 panel, hinged plaque featuring The Madonna & Baby Jesus, lithograph print of Raphael's, famous "Madonna of the Grand Duke" painting from the 1500s. It is a large piece measuring 15 inches in height, 18.5 inches wide when fully opened & 8.25 when side panels are closed. It is made of 3 wood panels with pointed arch tops which are hinged together to allow it to stand on a tabletop. The wood has been tooled with a scroll design then gilded with brilliant-gold as only the Italians can do. A beautiful religious shrine. It looks to be in pretty, good condition with minor, age-related scratches, with the exception of a few areas of missing gesso & gilding shown in the last photo.
