Vintage small milk or cream can with an amazing brass plaque on the front. The plaque is embossed with "Return to Jacob Dutenhoffer Ipswitch, Mil. S.D." & below that "Compliments of Tilden Produce Co. St. Paul, Minn." I have never seen a milk can like this one. I assume there was some sort of exchange of this can between Mr. Dutenhoffer and/or his company & Tilden Produce here in Minnesota. Tilden Produce was at one time located at 61-71 East Kellogg in St. Paul (the building has been torn down unfortunately) & Ipswitch, South Dakota is about 325 miles west of St. Paul, west of Aberdeen, South Dakota. Great collectible item with midwestern roots, the can has been repainted a glossy black & the brass has been cleaned & polished. This would make an eye-catching decorative item for your home! The can measures 18 3/4 inches tall & 10 1/4 inches across at the bottom. It is in great condition overall. The sides have some dents & dings, none of which are very deep.
