Description

Up for sale is a 1.47 gram phenakite thumbnail specimen from the Pumpkin Patch pocket, Mt. Antero, Chaffee County, Colorado! The specimen is in good overall shape. Phenakite is a rare gemstone that forms as a secondary mineral after aquamarine. Please note that phenakite is very color-sensitive when exposed to sunlight! Any amber color will fade to clear with UV exposure (via sunlight or even prolonged exposure to halogen lights). Pictures were taken dry indoors (ruler for scale). Label & perky box are included with the phenakite specimen. If you have any questions, feel free to ask & I will respond as soon as possible.
