Description
These shimmering earrings are made from solid brass, reclaimed silk & beautiful, glossy, faceted Japanese glass in beautiful Cornwall. These beads are apple to lime green in colour, & speckled like an egg. This colourway is named 'Sobek' after the Ancient Egyptian crocodile headed God. Sobek was powerfully protective, & associated with fertility as well as safety in water. The brass pieces are hand beaten on a weathered, antique anvil, giving a uniquely glittering texture. This range is inspired by the colours & textures of ancient Egyptian jewellery, & the shape is reminiscent of a Pharoah's ceremonial flail. The brass is bold & warm, reflecting the Summer sun or bringing a golden glow to grey days. All my jewellery is plastic free, as are my postage & packaging materials. The only exception to this is the little washable polishing cloth, free with every order. The beaten brass is solid & raw, & can be left to weather naturally or kept to a shine by occasional polishing. The French hook style ear wire is also solid brass. For my vegan option please select the organic cotton option & these will be made to order for you.
