We're pleased to offer a beautiful vintage French reticulated hand painted plate. This pierced border wide bowl features a center hand painted 18th century inspired design with wild roses & leaves in shades of pink, purple, green & yellow. It has an symmetrical open lacework edge accented with pink decorations. The platter is about 10.5" in diameter & the sides come up about 1.75". There are two holes at the base for hanging, & it is signed by the atelier artisan at the back (not able to figure out the name). This adorable pierced plate is in excellent vintage condition - no scratches, scuffing or repair. It seems unused & only displayed as the top glaze is near perfect & looks "new". Variations in the hand painted design of the dish are not considered imperfections, but are a mark of this unique handmade item. Please see all pictures for overall condition & details. This vintage decorative plate is a rare find & very charming. It would be wonderful hung on the wall in a country cottage chic kitchen or dining area, or used as a fruit bowl on a kitchen counter or perhaps serve cookies & sweet bread at tea time.
