Description

For your consideration is this extremely rare kimono vest that was worn by one of the Japanese Makya faith during a pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 1971. Also included for free is a historical press photo of the pilgrimage, & a vintage menorah pin. The vest is in excellent condition. There are no rips, holes, runs, stains, pilling, odors, or any signs of wear. The measurements are in the photographs. It was probably only worn once during that pilgrimage. The pin has some natural oxidation due to age, but is also in excellent condition. The press photo has some yellowing due to age, & some writing to indicate its significance, but it is in otherwise very good condition without tears or much wear. Please see the pictures. This was remarkable recent estate find, found well stored in an attic in Calumet, Michigan. It belonged to a world traveler who enjoyed collecting cultural artifacts from around the world.
