The Latin & region name are printed underneath the specimen.The Giant Forest Ants are one of the largest ants in the world. Measuring 20.9mm for workers & 28.mm for the soldiers. They live on 90% honeydew, but can also eat other insects & bird droppings. Colonies consist of around 7,000 - sometimes they can meet for what is only described as a ritual battle, these fights can span several months.
