The set includes two celadon geese. 2.6 x 1 x 1.8 Inches (6.5 x 2.4 x 4.6 cm) Handcrafted by Master Potter Hyo Chun in Icheon, Korea in Korean culture, geese represent eternal love, harmony, & fertility. Widely praised for its translucent jade-colored glaze & unique inlaid designs, Goryeo celadon ware was first produced between the late 9th & early 10th centuries & reached its pinnacle in the 12th. The celadon pottery of this golden age is distinguished by elegantly brilliant surfaces & the use of a creative new inlay technique in which white & red slip is inlaid into the surface to form various designs in contrasting colors. Because our ceramics are handmade, each piece is unique & varies slightly in size, shape, color, & beauty marks.
