There is a certain mystery - a certain heightened intensity to the scene. I just love it. & when I can add a lake, & a reflection, it doesn't get much better than that. This was taken in late May, when thick fog is sometimes present before the late-morning sun warms up enough to burn it off. I headed out just after 5am on this day, & made the rounds to several Western Montana lakes before finding this scene, which was just what I was looking for.
