Adorable 1900s blue & white polka dot bodice with such a special lace collar! It is Irish Limerick lace with flowers & harps! The fabric is very soft, likely a cotton/silk blend. Bodice is boned with hook & eye closures down the center front of the inner bodice & outer fabric later has hook & thread closures. It is a very short length. There is an inner cotton waistband & hooks at the back/inside the bodice to attach to a skirt. Homemade dress shields sewn into the underarms of the bodice. The boning channels appear to be homemade as well. There is padding in the bust area. Measurements 35" bust 29" inner cotton waistband 30" outer waist (waist sits a bit higher than natural waist) Varying length from 13" at the shortest on the sides & 16.5" at the middle front. Condition Really lovely condition, especially considering age. Some minor discoloration/small stains to the lace at the collar. A bit of rust on the hooks & eyes at the collar. Some faint discoloration to the lining. This piece is clean & wearable with care. Please read This item is not new, & as such, it has wear commensurate with age.
