This is a wonderful vintage Jadrolinija Rijeka Yugoslavia Ferry boat label that is in wonderful unused condition. The graphics are clean, bright & there is minimal wear to the paper. The glue is still intact on the back so this may be used if you choose to. These are hard to come by. These are NOT reproductions. This is original vintage stock & was part of a large collection of vintage luggage labels collected by a world traveler in the 1940's-1950's. He never used any of his labels on his luggage, just collected them like a true historian :) Jadrolinija is a Croatian ferry company that connects most of the Croatian islands to the mainland by regular passenger & car ferry services along the Croatian coast. The company also runs several international routes between Croatia & Italy (Ancona & Bari). It is a state-owned company & therefore subsidised by the state budget. Historically, Jadrolinija was founded in Rijeka, Croatia in January 1947 from a fleet of several smaller Croatian companies that were operating in Adriatic since the 19th century. It was initially named as 'Jadranska linijska plovidba' which was later changed to shorter one - 'Jadrolinija'.
