IIt is an absolutely beautiful set, dating from the turn of the century, between 1900 & 1910. I wish the bodice had fit our mannequin. The waist was too small to close around the mannequin. This is a stunning find. The body is silk, printed silk in a delicate stunning pattern. There is moss green velvet trim, lace collar & trim ~ a BEAUTY ~ There is boning around the waist. Ideal for any collection ~ ~ MEASUREMENTS : This gorgeous Victorian French ensemble measures : BODICE: 18 inches long 34 inch chest 22 inch waist 16 inch sleeves SKIRT: 29 inch waist 38 inches long CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are some marks on this piece in places. Generally it's in really lovely condition, but it's not without signs of time & use! There is fading around the collar. The left armpit is damaged with holes & the right armpit has staining. There are some small holes ~ not perfect, but perfectly wonderful indeed.
