Description
This is a nice similar pair of Chinese celadon enameled plates with Kangxi mark. The plates are rose canton decorated with insects. flowers, leaves , fruit & phoenix bird. The enamel work is very well done & still has great color. There is a dual gold leaf ring around the outside edge. These plate are probably from the mid to late 1800's, by the paste look of the foot clay. The plates measure 8 1/2" across & stands 1 1/4" high. There is a Kangxi (1662-1744) mark on the bottom. There is some enamel loss but it is minimal & glaze pops. Other than that the condition is good an appropriate for age.
