Inspired by the Book of Kells, this vintage 1980s scarf shows various Celtic motifs in green, gold, purple, & burgundy on a cream background with navy blue border. Created by Celtic monks circa 800, & an Ireland national treasure, The Book of Kells is a masterwork of western calligraphy. Various Celtic knots, biblical motifs & Latin words grace the soft silky fabric. The hem is machine stitched. The vintage scarf has no rips, tears, or stains, but does have a pull in the fabric as shown.
