Vintage Kingston NY Mayfair Theater Walter Reade Glass Tray. Trinket dish or ashtray is translucent greyish black glass with a white images. Stands & bases not included. Tray measures 4 5/8" x 3 3/4" & close to 1/2" tall. Weight is solid 3 oz. Good displayable condition with average wear for age with handling marks, will need detailed cleaning. Has few scuffs scratches, edge has small nick & still looks great!. Kingston First Capital of NY State. Kingston is rich in history becoming New York's first capital in 1777. During the American Revolutionary War, the city was burned by the British on October 13, 1777, after the Battles of Saratoga. also has a rich history in theater. The Mayfair Theater opened as a single screen 900-seat theatre in 1966. It was twinned in 1979 & closed in the 1980's Guessing made mid 1960s - early 1980's. Cool Translucent tray!
