Description

Handmade art cabochon stud earrings featuring Florence Nightingale. Florence Nightingale, (12 May 1820 - 13 August 1910) was an English social reformer, statistician & the founder of modern nursing. Nightingale came to prominence while serving as a manager & trainer of nurses during the Crimean War, in which she organized care for wounded soldiers at Constantinople. She gave nursing a favorable reputation & became an icon of Victorian culture, especially in the persona of "The Lady with the Lamp" making rounds of wounded soldiers at night. These art glass earrings have been carefully handcrafted by us in our home studios in Sweden. The art prints are covered with clear glass domed cabochons which enhances the image, then set in nickel-, lead- & cadmium free bronze settings. The cabochons measure approximately 12mm. Please note that these earrings are not waterproof, so remove them before you go swimming or dancing in the rain ;-) Your earrings will arrive in a lovely organza bag ready for gift giving.
