Description

This is a brilliant coin bracelet crafted sometime in the late 1930s in Santiago, Chile. The coins are smaller & in beautiful condition. They are 5 centavos coins & date between 1920-1938. The most interesting aspect of these coins is the Andean Condor on the obverse of the coin. Found in the Andes mountains & adjacent Pacific coasts of western South America, the Andean condor is the largest flying bird in the world by combined measurement of weight & wingspan. It is an endangered species whose population has been gradually decreasing. in all likelihood, this bracelet was purchased during this time by a woman who was taking an ocean voyage & extended tour to South America. South American cities were popular vacation destinations for the upper class, wealthy & the international set between 1930-1940. The bracelet is very well constructed, with links that allow the coins to slightly overlap & move with your wrist. It is finished with a sturdy clasp. The bracelet measures 7.5" & is .60"wide. Please review the photos carefully & email with any questions you may have prior to making a purchase. Enjoy Republica De Chile | 1920-1938-5 Centavos Coin Bracelet 7.75" Petite Coins
