Oil painting on stretched canvas..two grey & white kittens or cats in an open wooden barrel lined with straw or hay..the painting is signed w.h hollis..on the back is written in pencil to cousin ida february 1920..the canvas is nailed to the original wood stretcher frame. the stretcher frame is mounted in the original art deco wood frame. it was gold but the gold has aged to brown..detail on edge of frame (outer & inner edge)..the painting is over 100 years old & makes me think what a beautiful gift it was so many years ago. it would make a wonderful gift again for someone special...it is all original as purchased even the wire hanger on the back..
