Description

Handmade art cabochon stud earrings featuring Marie Curie. Marie Salomea Skłodowska Curie (7 November 1867 - 4 July 1934), was a Polish & naturalized-French physicist & chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. As the first of the Curie family legacy of five Nobel Prizes, she was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person & the only woman to win the Nobel Prize twice, & the only person to win the Nobel Prize in two scientific fields. She was the first woman to become a professor at the University of Paris in 1906. These art glass earrings have been carefully handcrafted by us in our home studios in Sweden. The art prints are covered with clear glass domed cabochons which enhances the image, then set in nickel-, lead- & cadmium free bronze settings. The cabochons measure approximately 12mm. Please note that these earrings are not waterproof, so remove them before you go swimming or dancing in the rain ;-) Your earrings will arrive in a lovely organza bag ready for gift giving.
