a very rare photo from a personal family photo album taken @1907 (I made this assumption from the fashion of the people on board.) I am uncertain where they have docked but its incredible with detail! I found this online: Built in 1903 by the Craig Shipbuilding Co., Toledo, OH for Dunkley-Williams & Co. of South Haven, MI Sold in 1906 to the Chicago & South Haven Steamship Co. of Chicago, IL Acquired by the Navy 19 April 1918 Commissioned USS City of South Haven (ID 2527), 2 November 1918 Struck from the Navy list 27 September 1919 4.25"x3.25" photos are securely mailed in sealed glassine envelopes with cardboard. I have been selling vintage photos online for 5 years & have customer service as my highest priority. I do my best to sell clean perfect photos but often vintage photos have scrapbook on back or some dry paste & that often is unavoidable. I am an archivist as well so often will wash & blot dry photos if possible. Often I include a high contrast close up to see the details but image is closer to second image shown. I also do my best to describe every detail & if you have question still, then write.
