Saint Jude rosary centerpiece with a glass cabochon on a gold-tone center. The reverse side has a textured pattern. The full color image of St. Jude depicts him carrying the image of Jesus, in the image of Edessa, in his hand, close to his chest; there is also a flame above his head, representing his presence at Pentecost when he was said to have received the Holy Spirit with the other apostles. St. Jude is the PATRON of desperate cases & lost causes. His feast day is October 28th. The symbols associated with him are the image of Edessa, the tongue of flame, the martyrdom instrument, symbols relating to his work, & symbols referring to his gospel. Jude was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He is generally identified with Thaddeus & is also variously called Jude of James, Jude Thaddaeus, Judas Thaddaeus or Lebbaeus. He is sometimes identified with Jude, the brother of Jesus, but is clearly distinguished from Judas Iscariot, the apostle who betrayed Jesus prior to his crucifixion.
