California Dreamin' Renoir Matisse Pink Sugar Enamel Copper Necklace. 1963. ONE PINK NECKLACE. This listing is for the pink necklace ONLY. The other necklace was listed separately & was shown for comparison. When I started collecting these years ago, I met a wonderful older lady, a former beauty queen, who was a very serious collector /dealer. She told me with much authority that the name of this "sugar crystal" [actually glass enamel chips] design was called California Dreamin', & it was only produced for one year, 1963. Who am I to doubt? Made by the well known Matisse enamel division of Renoir Jewelry Company. The heyday of the company was in the 1950s. This one is marked on reverse, in the copper "MATISSE".
