Starhawk Yellow is a 5mm thick leather handmade dog collar with soft padding. It is made from 2 strips of vegetable tanned leather , dyed in yellow & with black soft padding added . The soft padding is made from napa italian thin leather with padding inside. vegetable tanned leather Dyed by hand 5mm total thickness Heavy duty buckle, loop & D-ring Hand - sewn ( saddle stitched ) for maximum strength & security Soft Padding Heavy Duty series leather dog collars are compact , firm but not very stiff. Leather edges are skived , polished & dyed for a more elegant luxury look. This process makes the collar soft around your dog's neck & because we want to avoid metal hardware from the rivets coming in contact with your dog's skin we have put them between the lather layers . Same thing applies for the stainless steel buckle , we have saddle stitched it so no metal is in contact with your dog's neck. These collars also have soft padding which is made from Italian leather & foam & are suitable for big & strong dogs who tend to pull your arm out in the field . These collars are ideal for big & strong dogs such as pitbulls , mastiffs , cane corsos , dobermans , presa canarios , bulldogs etc Have your dog in a relaxed position preferably standing up & place a measuring tape around the middle part of his/hers neck. Do not overtighten your measuring tape around the neck & leave space for 2 fingers to slide through . If you measure towards the head the collar will be too small & if you measure towards the lower parts of the neck the collar will be too big . If you do not have a measuring tape you can use a long piece of string instead & when you are finished place the piece of string next to a ruler to get the exact measurement.
