Description
This Syracuse China "Adobe Ware" tan "Econo-Rim" 2⅜-oz. handleless creamer bears an "Etruscan" brown & white hand-painted trim. It appears to be little used, & is in excellent condition with no chips, dings, scratches, dings or dishwasher damage. The glaze is smooth, shiny & slippery all-over, even on the rim, foot & spout. It measures 3½" tall to the rim, 2" across the rim, & 2½" across the base. The base color is a medium café-au-lait. Although not backstamped, "Econo-Rim" is a well-known patented Syracuse shape. The "slot" on the base is also a Syracuse characteristic (last photo). We estimate that it was manufactured from the 1930s to 1960s. Regardless of the manufacturer or pattern, these hard-working "smokestack" creamers are difficult to locate, especially in excellent condition. We're diligent packers with decades of experience. This creamer will be firmly stuffed, snugly wrapped in bubble wrap, then packed in a roomy, peanut-filled carton.
