RImmED SOUP BOWL, Rosenthal-Continental, Selb Germany, Pompadour, CHERISH, 8.5" Diameter, c. 1939-56 An absolutely stunning mid-century china pattern in the Pompadour Shape by Rosenthal, of Selb, Germany. The pattern is called "Cherish", number 3500. The heavy gold variegated-scalloped rim with clusters of pink cabbage roses & tiny florets about in the familiar Dresden-flowers style typical of fine German porcelain. The rim is also embossed. The background is an off-white, or ecru. See the next to last photo on a white sheet of paper for comparison. This listing is for One (1) Rimmed Soup Bowl. This is a very shallow bowl measuring 8.5" wide. A great compliment to a shower or wedding table. Condition: Overall excellent. May display an ever-so-slight speck of gold loss. Net Wt. 10 oz.
