Danish Blue is a little campaign to focus on the products of Soeholm. The blue series was popular throughout the 50, 60 & 70s. Blue is very much a Danish color. Surrounded by the sea & sky. This large & stunning lamp base is designed by Einar Johansen in the 1960s. He was a very skilled potter who his hole career was fascinated by repeated patterns which gives his work a contemporary feel. He is with out a doubt my favorite Danish potter. He is a very well known for he's blue textured designs for Soeholm. This lamp is extraordinarily beautiful! Before he worked for Soeholm he had his own pottery studie named EJO Keramik was located in Copenhagen & existed from 1942 until 1958 where Einar began working for Soeholm. Its partially glazed stoneware in a wonderful blue color. Its elegant shape can fit into every contemporary home. Perfect condition. A beatuiful lamp with an amazing shape & texture.
