Description

This listing is for one 1951 S Wheat Penny, as pictured. Extra or Extremely Fine condition. S Mint mark denoting the San Francisco Mint. The Lincoln cent has been struck by the United States Mint since 1909. The obverse or heads side was designed by Victor David Brenner, as was the original reverse, depicting two stalks of wheat (thus "wheat pennies", struck 1909-1958). 1941 was the earlier part of WWII, & the mint would soon need to switch to steel for the production of US cents to support the war effort. This wheat penny turns 70 years old this year (2021). Could make a cool gift for someone's 70th birthday. This coin makes an excellent addition to any collection; a piece of history. As can be seen in the pictures, the coin is in great shape. F Grade. Please feel free to message with any questions. Thanks so much for stopping by! 70th anniversary; 70th birthday. 1951 S Wheat Penny - Cent San Francisco Mint
