This is a digitally rendered (printed in 2D - relief map, derived from a map issued by the 'Congres Geologique International' from 1962 showing the bathymetry & tectonic relief of Europe, enhanced with digital shaded relief. Digital Elevation Data (DEM), obtained from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission is processed & digitally rendered to create a highly detailed elevation profile (printed on a flat surface). Note that the Bathymetry data had been collected by sonar reading. This method is not always 100% accurate & therefore some errors in representation of the seabed might exist. Prints are available in various sizes. As these images are high resolution renders with a high level of detail, large prints on professional photographic paper, metal or acrylic are available & provide stunning results! . These prints are printed on a flat surface (HD photo paper, HD metal or other material). The prints are not 3D Relief Maps. Photo frames are not included & are shown for display purposes only. If you order a print on HD Metal (which looks beautiful please allow for for 7-14 business days processing time. Metal prints come with a mount for easy hanging (so no frame necessary!). Note: HD metal prints have a glossy finish. The legend on vintage prints are usually printed in smaller print beside the image. While the legend is visible on each print, please note that when ordering smaller size prints, reading glasses or a magnifying glass might be needed to read the legend text.
