Description

This antique 1910s sterling silver bracelet is constructed with sterling silver Canadian Edward VII five cent coins all from the 1902-1907. The clasp is made from a larger 900 silver purity Barber Dime with Liberty head. Each coin has soldered loops which are connected by jump rings. The 15.5mm Canadian coins included were all made from 925 silver (sterling). The obverse sides have The bust of King Edward VII facing right. Also are the words, "EDWARDVS VII D.G.REx IMPERATOR", which translates to "Edward VII, King, & Emperor by the Grace of God". The reverse sides have the face value with the country name below surrounded with two maple boughs & the crown of King Edward VII. Lettering includes, "5 CENTS, CANADA (plus date)". The 17.9mm US Barber dime has Liberty head facing right with 1901 date below, "United States of America" at top & cut-out for clasp. This coin was minted in 900 silver (slightly lower grade than sterling or 925). The obverse side is mostly covered by the box clasp hardware. This piece weighs in at 16 grams & stretches 7 3/8 inches long. The coins are in varying vintage condition with some vintage patina & fine scratches to the silver. The coins have vintage age wear & discoloration, as photographed. The metal links & hardware tested as sterling silver (no hallmark). Overall, this bracelet is in very good vintage condition. Please see photos for condition & below for detailed measurements.
