This is one of the most stunning medals that I have ever seen! One of my favorites. Gorgeous, large French antique replica Mary & Baby Jesus medal with a Fleur de Lis accent. The antique finish on the sterling silver highlights such beautiful texture & depth. A 1.5mm oxidized sterling silver wheat chain with a lobster clasp closure completes the piece. The original piece of art is by French artist Elie Pellegrin. The medal is 1 & 3/8 inch high. This fine replica is cast in .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method & produced in the U.S.A. The antiquing finishing process makes this piece very low maintenance. This medal is not stamped 925 or sterling because it is identical to the original antique. It will test as .925 sterling silver.
