Handmade Blue Velvet Throw Cushion U-Circular Velvet cushion featuring a rich pattern of woven leaves, with pops of pink florals & tiny birds; the perfect, cosy piece of art to add to your sofa. A timeless & elegant pattern, with the all important pop of "Millennial Pink". This pattern of woven leaves & beautiful blooming pink florals was partly inspired by vintage tapestries, & partly by the bright colours of the countless, pattern-obsessed instagram accounts I follow, who show off their picture perfect, maximalist homes & gorgeous velvet sofas. These soft, squishy pieces of art have been designed with the planet in mind, & feature a double-sided pattern for double the colour, & are the perfect way to add that perfect finishing touch to your maximalist palace, or cosy cottage home. PRODUCT DETAILS: - Cushion cover comes with standard 35x35cm / 14x14 inch cushion - Made from U-Circular Velvet; Recycled Polyester taken from Plastic Bottles! - Cord Piping - GRS Certified, meaning the fabric has to be made from at least 20% recycled materials (in this case its approximately 80% from Plastic Bottle waste & the fabric has been manufactured in good working conditions. - OEKO-TEx certified fabric & ink; thorough testing has been carried out to ensure the materials don't contain any harmful substances. HANDMADE WITH CARE: The fabric for these cushions has been digitally printed in the Netherlands; a process that requires a precise amount of ink & material to vastly reduce the amount of waste. These cushion covers are sewn by my mum, Helen, in her home studio (aka, her living room) in Hertforshire. Produced in small batches, we have taken extra care to ensure we collected any waste fabric to be reused in future projects! Each cushion cover has been cut from fabric on the roll, so please note that design placement may vary slightly. ABOUT THE DESIGN: I love adding small details to my artwork; miniature leaves, flower buds & bird feathers are the kind of elements that bring my work to life, & my pieces would look so flat without them. Adding little lines & subtle colour gradients is one of my favourite parts of the process! I'm so happy that these details could be translated into fabric too - with this being my first step into the world of textile design, I wasn't sure if my work would suit this kind of product! Thankfully being able to design & print these patterns digitally means no detail gets lost, & each cushion cover is its own piece of art, full of life!
