For your consideration I am offering a rare & exquisite figurine featuring A whimsical depiction of a Black & White Cat Sitting on a Post designed by Olaf Fieber for Meissen in Model number 83140 & made in Germany at the end of the 20th century... The particular figurine is interesting & features a Polychrome painted in black & white cat sitting on top of a post - gilding along the base area.. Back of the post has the blue Meissen mark - Marked on bottom the impressed numbers 83140 - 201HK ..red ink 2634 on bottom..Still has the store barcode sticker... Stands 4.5 cm x 4.5 cm x 11.43 cm or 1.75 inches by 1.75 inches by 4.5 inches.. Light signs of previous ownership & age needs to be taken into consideration - Very nice condition.. Olaf Fieber: After finishing school, Olaf Fieber attended a drawing circle at the Meissen porcelain factory, which introduced him to porcelain art... This gave the impetus for his application for an apprenticeship in the porcelain factory... in 1987 he finished his training as a porcelain designer. Due to his talent, he entered artistic development as a master student of Peter Strang immediately after completing his four-year apprenticeship ... "In 2006 he opened his own studio in Meißen. in addition to porcelain, new materials & fields of activity such as photography, painting & graphics were added.
