2 pieces Vintage West German Pink Fire Opal Glass Cabochon Sew On. These stones are set in jewelry quality 4 pronged, open back, sew on silver or gold plated settings. There are 4 holes close to the base of the setting - 2 on 2 'sides'. Listing price is for two pieces - number of pieces in the photos shown just for variety. These are approximately 8mm/39ss round & have exceptional color flashes of pinks & golds & a little blue. They have a smooth shiny dome, & pointed, unfoiled backs. I believe these were handmade in the 50's & 60's to look as much like real opal as possible. No two stones are totally alike - pale milky pink glass, with some having more gold, or more pink, or even blue specks.
