Trichodiadema bulbosum forms very succulent shrublets with deep emerald leaves that have a "crystalline" texture & tufty bristles at the the tips. From spring to autumn, Trichodiadema bulbosum puts on a showy display of bright pink flowers with yellow centers. Over time, it will slowly develop a thickened root system or caudex which is highly prized. Trichodiadema bulbosum is a popular, easy to grow natural bonsai plant among bonsai enthusiasts. It is an excellent & unusual container plant, & also makes an appealing trimmed specimen plant in a rock, cactus or succulent garden. Left on its own, Trichodiadema bulbosum will become a small-scale ground cover. Trichodiadema bulbosum growing to a height of 12 inches & branching out to a diameter of 18 inches.
