These are two great TV/Movie storyboard illustrations from the 1970s. They may be the work of Nikita Knatz (they were part of a N Knatz collection I acquired at an estate sale in L.A.) Either way they are great pieces of art illustrating iconic western scenes The journey west to new frontiers. Both illustrations have been mounted on card (Charlotte Board). #1 Distant Wagon Crossing Desert: 30" x 20" x 1/16"; actual illustration size: 23 1/2" x 12" #2 Plains, Wagon, Setting Sun: 30" x 20" x 1/16"; actual illustration size: 22 5/8" x 14 1/4" Both of these illustrations show signs of age & wear as all great vintage items do. They have scuffs & marks on them - particularly around the card edges - which may or may not clean off. Examine all the pictures closely. Zoom in & out to get a good sense of their exact condition: a picture tells a thousand words. The photos of the illustrations serve as a document as to their condition. You will receive the exact illustrations pictured here. Please note in particular that the "plains/wagon/setting sun" illustration has minor heat / water damage where the paper is rising in parts from the backing card; see pic. These two illustrations are a real living part of Hollywood & film history & will greatly add to any collection.
