Losing a pet is never easy. I give each portrait I paint all the love, creativity & time I can. I start with brown or white clay that I throw on a pottery wheel then paint using glazes, (called glaze-trailing), that are then fired so that I can create permanent portraits of your favorite companions on clay. I am only limited by how many glaze colors I have & so the challenge for me is to create using the colors at my disposal. (I won't always match your dogs coloring, please allow for this). I can create from a photo you send me through Etsy's messages or simply tell me the breed & I'll access the internet for images. I WILL NEED at least 10-12 WEEKS to make the urn, draw, paint, fire & then ship to you. The larger size would hold approx 60 lb. dog according to calculations. If you'd need larger then select the extra large dog, it should hold upwards of 100 lbs or more. Send me a conversation & I'll figure out the size that will work. in the end I believe you'll find it worth it & love your dogs image as much as I do. I will need you to give me the background color that you would prefer. See the chart. If you're not sure, just ask any question before you decide, I don't mind.
