Description
This very old jug was probably originally made in the mid 1800s & it is almost certainly European. Marked under the handle by the maker with "No 4" & a stylized "l" that might stand for "liter". On the opposite side is a maker's stamp that reads "OSTLETL NAUSSAU 6" & an image of a lobster or bird (I think). The jug was probably intended for ginger beer or mineral water. The jug is in very good condition. There are no breaks, no repairs, no chips, & no fleabites. The jug measures about 11 3/4" high by 3 1/4" wide, & the inside diameter of the top opening is 3/4".
