This wonderful icon has been created with the technique of lithography & has a double varnish to ensure waterproof & duration in time. The creator of this icon has learned the canonization of iconography in workshops of the Monasteries of Mount Athos, where he was taught both the technique of lithography & the process of handmade artificial ageing. Anthony of Padua (Portuguese: António de Pádua; born Fernando Martins de Bulhões; 15 August 1195 - 13 June 1231[1 also known as Anthony of Lisbon (Portuguese: António de Lisboa), was a Portuguese Catholic priest & friar of the Franciscan Order. He was born & raised by a wealthy family in Lisbon, Portugal, & died in Padua, Italy. Noted by his contemporaries for his powerful preaching, expert knowledge of scripture, & undying love & devotion to the poor & the sick, he was one of the most quickly canonized saints in church history. He was proclaimed a Doctor of the Church on 16 January 1946. He is also the patron saint of lost things. Can be hung on a wall or placed on a flat surface.
