Presented is an antique, Dutch silver serving fork made in 1910. This Dutch COlonial style piece is a novelty or souvenir spoon for The Hague & the top has the city coat of arms featuring a stork with an eel in its mouth. The base of the tines are hand chased with a very pretty scene of sailboats on a calm ocean or sea. The back of the shield has an old monogram of the initials GSmm. The crest bears the Minerva head duty mark, the shaft bears a date letter A for the year 1910 & the tines are marked Holland & bear a maker's mark as well as the Dutch lion passant for 833 minimum silver purity. This piece is in great overall condition, especially for its age & the designs are crisp. There are no damages or repairs. Length: 8 1/4 inches. Weight: 62 grams or 2.2 ounces.
