Description

Presented is an antique, English sterling silver serving spoon made by Samuel & John Bridge of London in 1816. This early 19th century, Georgian piece is done in a classic form. The handle is finely hand engraved with flowers, leaves & scrolls surrounding a monogram of the letter M. The bowl is beautifully hand chased with detailed fruits & leaves. The back is marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter a for the year 1816 & a maker's mark for Samuel & John Bridge. This piece is in great overall condition. There are no damages or repairs. Length: 8 3/4 inches. Weight: 70 grams or 2.5 ounces.
