Cypress answers to no one; not Spruce or Pine or Douglas fir or any of the other conifers she rides with. She is her own scent, masculine, feminine & somewhere all the way in between. She smells like an acrid Elemi & a little of Pine without the balsamic note. & true to Cypress, she's a little sour & dry in a lemon kind a way. I don't hold one fascinating note against her, not with her complexity & value she has on skin. This is a hydrosol I really wanted to get into the apothecary before Father's Day because it is so beneficial for razor bumps & cuts. Plus it smells so good on fresh shaven skin. It's great for the dad in the family. I've mixed Cypress hydrosol with Rose hydrosol as its own decadent hydrosol for my skin & it almost captures the profile of Rugosa Rose; flowers, leaves & all. Cypress is a remarkable scent profile that has been hard to quit. "The Next Aromatherapy" (Suzanne Catty) recommends blending Cypress with Juniper hydrosol for cleansing & detoxifying. Juniper is a kidney supportive in both essential oil & hydrosol form so it stands that the combination of both would be helpful in stimulating the liver & kidneys. She also notes Cypress can be helpful as a topical for arthritis & edema. Shelf life: 24 months. Refrigerate to prolong freshness. Packaged in 3.3oz/100 ml tamper proof refillable glass bottles.
