Vintage simple shipping box with part of an old railway label still attached. Refinished with an amber color. The box is sturdy & has lots of character - not sure what it originally contained but this may make an interesting rustic display item for your home. The box measures 15 inches long, 11 1/4 deep & 7 3/8 inches tall. The label is torn & parts are missing but I can still make out "American Railway Express Waybill Lake Villa, Ill. 737-M" & below that the word "PAID". To the left of the label, there is a handwritten name & city: "T.W.N. Schyndorff (or Schondorff?) Luck, Wis". Please note that the label is upside down - if you have the box flat with the open part facing up, the label will be upside down. The box has plenty of scratches, scuffs, stains & a few missing chunks but it still feels strong. Please let me know if you have questions - thanks!
