It's a modern representation of the Greek God Poseidon or we can say It is also a representation of the power of the ocean. It has a very "detailed" craftsmanship & design. It is made of 925 Silver & a blue abalone shell because this whole piece is about the sea. The main detail on the pendant, is a symbol known as the Poseidon's Trident with waves of the sea. Pendant has traditional Greek ornaments on it's frame. The pendant's chain holder has Alfa & Omega on it, this represents the beginning & the end (also the first & last letters of the Greek alphabet) :) The chain as well compliments the design. Blue Abalone Shell is a natural material not a human made material, due to that each shell is unique. There are two Abalone Shells inside the pendant. The back Abalone shell has a thin epoxy layer on top of it for it to look different as a styling choice. Please, see the back photos of the pendant & the video of the pendant. I designed this necklace because I'm literally in love with mythology. The gods & goddesses are very powerful celestial beings with different powers, vulnerabilities & they have different personalities. We can also say that they are the representation of the magnificent powers of nature & the universe as well. in lots of civilizations through out history, we can see their great influences. The mythology is in every region ,every part of the world & it is really fascinating. Some of us maybe feel close to Poseidon or still feel the power of Poseidon. Maybe some of us feel close to to the Egyptian Sun God Ra or another god or goddess. So which god or goddess, do you feel close or which one influences you the most?.
