It is considered a tradition in relation to ancestral spirits. Women paint with various paints & perform ritual offerings to their ancestors. These rituals have strict rules, & the paint must be of their community resembling their ancestors. They are only allowed to paint certain respected traditional patterns. After the paint, the women are considered as the spirit of their ancestors. 100% cotton fabric. Machine wash cold, no bleach, wash dark colors separately, tumble dry low, remove promptly. CHOOSE YOUR FABRIC LENGTH FROM THE FOLLOWING: 1/4 yards ( 9 inches x 44 inches) FAT QUARTER (18 inches x 22 inches) 1/3 yards (12 inches x 44 inches) 1/2 yards (18 inches x 44 inches) 2/3 yards (24 inches x 44 inches) 3/4 yards (27 inches x 44 inches) 1 yard (36 inches x 44 inches) 1 1/4 yards (45 inches x 44 inches) 1 1/2 yards (54 inches x 44 inches) The quantity button will allow you to purchase 1/4 yard, fat quarter, 1/3 yard, 1/2 yard, 2/3 yard, 3/4 yard, 1 yard, 1-1/4 yard & 1-1/2 yard lengths along with multiples of the same. The price is listed next to the size in the drop down menu. You can order larger cuts by combining lengths or purchasing multiple lengths of the same fabric, but do not order more yardage than what is shown available in the drop down box. ALL MULTIPLE LENGTH PURCHASES WILL BE CUT in CONTINUOUS LENGTH PIECES DIRECT FROM THE BOLT UNLESS YOU REQUEST OTHERWISE! Example 1: If you wish to purchase 3 yards, select the 1 yard cut from the drop down menu & then a quantity of 3. Your order will ship as a continuous 3 yard piece. Example 2: If you wish to purchase 4-1/2 yards, select the 1 yard cut & enter a quantity of 4; then select the 1/2 yard cut & enter a quantity of 1. Your fabric will ship as a continuous 4-1/2 yard piece. Fabric cut sizes are approximate as the width of cotton fabrics can vary between 43 & 45 inches.
