1830s Romantic era Bonnet white cotton with Flower & Ribbon Trim is a historically accurate replica of fashion plates from the early 1830's. It is made cotton, decorated with a flower arrangement, silk ribbon & lace. It also has two drawstring ties at the front side ahd comb inside to fasten the bonnet. The frame is covered in cotton & completed at the back with a gathered lace. the shape is made from buckram & wire. The crown is attached at a slant to accommodate the popular high bun hairstyles of the era. The vertical rise of the crown was designed to accomodate the hairstyle of the day, the Apollo's knot, which sat high atop the head. The bonnet will by perfect for Regency era, Romantic era fashion reenactors, Jane Austen events, costume events, theatrical performances. The bonnet is made to order.
