This unique golden version of Blue-eyed Grass is native to the west coast from British Columbia to California & can be found at the edge of bogs & in moist grasslands. Yellow Eyed Grass, is a small perennial about 8 inches tall that forms a little clump of iris leaves with bunches of bright yellow star-shaped flowers that appear May through June. It is frequently grown in medium to wet soils in full sun. But, it will also tolerate somewhat drier conditions. Yellow Eyed Grass works well in garden areas such as cottage gardens, woodland gardens, wild gardens, native plant areas, along ponds or in moist areas of water gardens. Also effective in border fronts & rock gardens as long as adequate moisture is provided. Sisyrinchium californicum tolerates seaside conditions, alkaline soil, clay, seasonal flooding & deer. Hummingbirds, butterflies & seed-eating birds are attracted to its flowers. Zones: 8-10 You will receive well rooted, strong & healthy plant in 2.5" pot.
