It dates right around 1900, & it primarily constructed of a wonderful black wool. This piece also features a chintzed linen lining at the top, as well as velvet trim. It feels unused to me - it's in really great shape. Such a cool find! This cape closes with hooks & eyes. So many possibilities! ~ Lovely for wearing, costumes, theater etc ~ MEASUREMENTS : This lovely antique textile measures: length : 40 inches collar width 17 inches around The length around the bottom of the cape is 80 inches. CONDITION : This cloak is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. As stated above, this piece feels unused to me! The hooks & eyes have rusted with time, but otherwise this piece is in fantastic condition indeed!
