This handmade, homemade arrangement of eleven browns ranges from a very pale stone beige to vivid golden ochre, to deep rich marron & dark coffee - & everything in between. There is a twelfth colour, which isn't really brown, but I thought it fits nicely, it is a bonus paint, free of charge. It is possible to also purchase a 'satellite trio of browns with golds for a third of its normal price. ELEVEN, because that is my fav number :D PLEASE KEEP in MIND I RUN MY SWATCHES ON FABRIANO ESTRA WHITE ROUGH WATERCOLOUR PAPER, & photograph them in bright sunlight - ON DIFFERENT PAPER THE PAINT MAY APPEAR DIFFERENT ITSELF! (Such is the magic of watercolour papers.) The shipping & postal services have normalised a little bit, so some orders go with super snail speed, whereas others go with normal glacial snail speed still - please keep in mind I have no control over that, I just like snails :D A wee bit about my paints: by now I have sampled almost all of the pigments one can think of & have decided that earth & rust suit me best: naturally ground soil like sienna & umbra, & oxides, which offer more than one can imagine! I am endlessly curious about different versions of the same named product, so I always, when researching the new region, sample Raw Sienna first. Of course not all can be blacks & browns & ochre, & getting unnaturally vibrant paints is just part of my curiosity: I spend my night mixing this & that, trying new combinations, experimenting & trying to tame various new pigments. My paints are 85%+ pure pigment, which makes their lightfastness absolute, the rest means they are held together by an organic binder, my own homemade honey & myrtus glycerin. Their naturality makes them unpredictable - some dry like pepper, some never dry - but I like that about them. They are unique & individual. With each new batch, I try to invoke a theme & invent as many new paints as possible, to keep my regular customers thrilled I repeat some of the older recipes, because they never fall out of demand, but mostly, with each new batch, I invent. Because the paints are often made as a unique trial, returns or exchanges are unfortunately not possible.
