This fascinating old standing metal church lectern or pulpit from a midwest estate is approx. 48" tall by 12" in diameter at the base & the top cast metal oval with cross is approx. 17 1/2" by 14". Weighs 20 pounds & dates to around the 1920s or 30s. There are a few holes in the cross which suggests that there is a missing component. Possibly a corpus or perhaps a book holder/tray. The chrome finish of the base has some obvious wear as shown. Apparently designed to have an adjustable height due to the telescoping rod, but I can't get it to budge. Still wonderful. Please view all of the attached photos for an accurate representation. Great care will be taken in packing with lots of recycled bubble wrap to ensure safe arrival. May also be picked up to save the shipping costs. We are located in Le Claire, Iowa, which is where Interstate 80 crosses the Mississippi River from Iowa into Illinois.
